The timesharing calculations provided below make the following assumptions:
-Most importantly, the calculations are meant only for general information and entertainment purposes only. There is no way to accurately calculate a timesharing scenario without having the child(ren)’s school calendar pertaining to a particular case and an understanding of the parties’ division of summer, holidays, school breaks, etc.
-“During the school year” (minus summer, holidays, school breaks, etc.) = 8.5 months
8.5 months/12 months = .7083333
.7083333 X 365 days = 258.541545 days
-The number of overnights during the school year in the calculations below are for a two week period. For example, if a party has every Thursday night and every other weekend from Friday after school to Monday morning, then that would equal 5 overnights.
-“Summer, holidays, school breaks, etc.” = 3.5 months
3.5 months/12 months = .291667
.291667 X 365 days = 106.458455 days
-The numbers in the timesharing calculations assume that summer, holidays, school breaks, etc. will be split 50/50. If this is not the case, then adjustments need to be made.
-Calculations are rounded.
